Since 1939, Chao Shou-shan’s wontons and pork knuckles have been the most popular local specialty foods in Ligang, Pingtung County and best-known throughout Taiwan.

Only the best ingredients, such as ground pork tenderloin, are used for the filling of Chao Shou-shan’s freshly made wontons. The seasoned filling is then wrapped in thin slices of flattened dough. Cooked in pig knuckle stock and served with chopped green onions, the wontons taste delicious and chewy.




Different from the marinated and braised pork knuckles in Wanluan, Chao Shou-shan’s pork knuckles are boiled and then simmered for hours. Served with a special sauce made from garlic, soy sauce, and other seasonings, the knuckles taste chewy and flavorful, different from the greasy taste of Wanluan pork knuckles.
