The Power Land of Gaoshu, built by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Council for Cultural Affairs, is one of the five model centers distributed throughout the island.

It is non-profit with the mission to act as a bridge between farmers, local businesses, art and culture groups, tourism, and community residents, encouraging and facilitating exchange programs and events in the areas of agriculture, art, culture, education, and tourism.


Aside from promoting Gaoshu's local customs and practices, Gaoshu Power Land helps to market local agricultural specialties. The display areas of processed agricultural products and characteristic handicrafts have attracted visitors' attention. In addition, creative and performing artists also find a stage to exhibit their artistic works. Moreover, responding to the increasing numbers of tourists, it offers tour consultation and arranges guided tour packages based on tourists' or various groups preferences and needs.

In recent years, Gaoshu Power Land moves to provide free after-school child care and academic counseling services for children from economically disadvantaged families. It also opens various programs like service for the elderly, community college and job training, in a wish to further the development of Gaoshu Township.
